Pat Hackett, Attorney

 

Pat opened Hackett & Associates, P.C. in 2006, where she has deepened her career-long involvement in estate planning, family law and advocacy as a trial attorney. Her depth of understanding and experience regarding ethics and justice is grounded in her work in the fields of theology, government, and law.

Pat has distinguished herself as an advocate and an active civic leader, and is also wholly dedicated to the development of the community through education.

Sara Tumbleson, Attorney

With more than 15 years of experience as an attorney, Sara has dedicated her career to helping clients get their core estate planning documents in place while addressing any needs particular to their circumstances.

While helping clients with estate planning, Sara also assists in establishing trusts for children or grandchildren, including those with special needs. She helps individuals plan for the distribution of retirement assets, develop strategies for minimizing federal estate taxes and transition business interests.

Cindy, Title

 

Cindy started working in law offices in the 1980s in Hammond, Indiana. After a move to the South Bend area in 1989, Cindy worked for the City of South Bend’s Legal Department and subsequently moved on to a small civil law firm where she worked for a family law attorney and a Bankruptcy Court trustee for many years. Cindy joined Hackett & Associates in 2018 and splits her duties between H&A and another attorney that shares office space with the firm. 

Pamela Sowers, Administrative Assistant

Pamela, a native of Fort Wayne who holds an Associate Degree from Indiana University, joined Hackett & Associates in August of 2006. In addition to her administrative duties, she assists Pat Hackett and Sara Tumbleson in serving the firm’s clients. Pamela brings to Hackett & Associates a wide range of experience, beginning with the U.S. District Court of the Northern District of Indiana in the Probation and Parole Division as a Probation Clerk preparing presentence reports for the Honorable Jesse E. Eschbach and then the Honorable William C. Lee. She then relocated to Indianapolis where she was employed as a legal assistant for the Office of the U.S. Attorney. In addition to her experience with federal government, Pamela was employed by the law firms of Ice, Miller, Donadio & Ryan and also Bingham, Summers, Welsh & Spilman in Indianapolis. Pamela also worked for a brief time in Naples, Florida, and was employed as a legal assistant for the law firms Roetzel & Andress; Cheffy Passidomo, and Bass & Chernoff before returning to Indiana.
